I cant see why it wont be covered. Do you have any insurance booklets lying around that you can look at it should have what is and isn't covered in there.

dark metallic blue would be galaxy blue (paint code GY) or monsoon blue if its really dark. The clear on the roof of my Galaxy blue AU peeled like crazy, fairly sure it started after we had some really heavy rain, might be a fault in the paint.

i seen that on a customers astra once, that was a dark blue as well on a very wet day.
there was like big water bubbles under the clear coat all over the boot and the roof. had never seen paint do that before. pointed it out to the lady before i started working on it and then when they came back to pick it up the husband tried to blame me for wrecking their paint. duh.

Mate i remember reading about galaxy blue a while back on AFF there was a fault with the paint and ford resprayed quite a few cars for free as rain should not damage your paint in that way.

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...=paint+peeling
Sorry it was shockwave that was peeling off on the BA/Fs but its still the same blue really. being a AU its outside of the 5 year warranty so it will not be easy but trying calling 13FORD and say your paint is just peeling off, i would not say anything about the rain as they may say its an insurance thing. Its more likely that the paint was already degrading and the rain just pushed it along.
