NSW Coloured Rego Plates (Red/Seduce specific)

It's difficult to gauge the exact colour from an online graphic. Local RTA has a handful of colours on display, but no red.

I'm specifically wondering about how the Red plates look against the Seduce colour Falcon.

Anyone have this combination? Red appears to be the closest to Seduce. The Raspberry is a little too purple.

The boss has red plates on a 'Colorado Red' coloured Focus is that helps.

Just looked up Seduce colour... almost a dark red / marone colour. Don't think the plates will match as the red plates are proper red.

Perhaps get white with red letters?? Won't see the difference as much??

Nah, in NSW. Hmmm perhaps there are different reds??? That pic looks like a good match actually.

Only one red (http://www.myplates.com.au/products/index.html) strange, the photo you sent me looks much brighter red...

I'll maybe have to scour the Wollies car park and see if I can find someone with them and compare lol...

Looking at getting perhaps "07 GHIA" as it comes under the cheap option and still looks ok.

The colours will never be a match and will look tacky as most I see do, so IMO its best to just go white lettering on black background.

Yea, that's my concern if they aren't a good match.

Trying to deice what would look better. White on black or black on white.

No one else with a Seduce Falcon with custom plates?

My theory is it's a better colour match/closer to maroon/burgundy than black or white is.

The red plates on my wife's Focus are a 95% match for the car.

Only leaves one problem. Should I want to buy something newer it would have to be red, or I would need to go to the trouble of getting the plates re-made.

My other 2 cars have personal plates, generic white with black letters. At the time I think that was the only option if you didn't want to pay a yearly fee.

Ive seen the NSW Red plates on a seduce XR6 and it didn't look too bad at all, but I wouldn't say it is a perfect match. I am a bit picky about stuff like this too and I think if it was me I'd go with the black background and silver writing - which I have on my Ranger.

Hmmm....some food for thought...thanks guys, appreciate the opinions....it's a difficult call.

I'm really hoping someone with a Seduce car with custom NSW plates reads this thread.

I know the red isn't a perfect match to Seduce, but as long as it's a similar shade and not BRIGHT red then it would be ok.

But the white or silver on black also look stylish.....

Hmmm....I'm beginning to wonder if the red might look ok. It's a brighter red, but it'll still look ok against it.

Might drop into my local RTA to see if they have any plates I can hold in front of my car to compare colours...

Either that or I'll print our some from the website and hold the paper against my car

I saw a black plate with Blue writing.
Serious struggled to see the letters. Maybe with a flash you would but driving in dusk or dawn..not a chance

Yea I've noticed that too with colour font on black plates.

Another thing with this is the coloured plates are smaller. And as I have the Ghia rear garnish, it'll expose more of the grey garnish backing. I'm thinking I might colour code the grey part.

But I can't find any Seduce spray paint anywhere. Only checked online thus far. I can only find touch up stuff, but no aerosols. Is it a colour I should be able to find in aerosol?

Off the shelf no but I know I can make it into a can at work and therefore any Autobarn could do it for you.

Yes, I work at one (in case you couldn't tell) and we can mix any paint as long as you have a paint code. Can put it into an aerosol can for you too.

Not all autobarns do this.

I've been to a fair few and worked at one and none of them offered that service.

Ah great, that's good to know then. I'll see if I can get a plate from the RTA on Monday to hold against my car. But from those photos and what you've said, it looks like red might be the go after all.

I'm just sticking with the white plate / black alpha-numerals. Personally I think body coloured plates is taking it a little too far. You may as well paint your rims seduce as well!

Assuming you live in the same Shoalhaven NSW as I do, Autobarn Nowra will make it up for you in a spray can if you give them your paint code. It costs about $35 a can, colours have been spot on so far, from my experience
