Default P Plate info VIC

Hi team

Have a couple of P Plate questions

1. We someone on P Plates turns 21, do the automatically have a full licence?
2. Can they just throw away the P Plate window stickers?
3. Do they have to go to VIC roads and get a new licence?

Help with these questions would be appreciated, as weve only been in Aust about a year, and don't know just how this works here.

1. No you need to hold you P's for 3 years.
2. No
3. Vic roads will send out a license renewal notice when you have done 3 years on P's, once you pay that they will mail you out your new license.

Alcohol level is 0.0 on P's 0.05 on full license

Don't know what recognition Vicroads will give to someone who has held an NZ licence for 5 years, but normally you stay on your Ps for 3 years - or longer if you've been naughty. I got my licence at 19, off the Ps at 22. A friend got his at 21, and was on his Ps for 3 years.

You get a licence renewal notice in the mail, go to Vicroads or an authorised photo point, choose 3 or 10 years, pay up and have your pic taken. I've just had to renew mine after 10 years - the last time was when I got off my Ps.
