Fiesta figures are still down, very depressing- How bloody Yaris outsells it I'll never know
Focus figures look decent
Mondeo I guess is still down due to lack of supply

Top Territory and Ranger figures though, those Rangers seem to be selling themselves.

Go the Focus outselling the Astra! How long has that been happening for? I'd imagine a lot going to fleets moreso than a premium car like the Mazda 3 or VW Golf. Ratt is there a breakdown of what models go where?

Its pretty understanding why the Fiesta is being outsold. The only thing its best at at its class is handling and most people buying in that class aren't that interested in performance.

Just looking at Mitsubishi sales, Colt is doing horribly. Need to lift their game there. Still massive supply issues with new Lancer too. Already EVO 10 is delayed in Aus from March to August now. MASSIVE demand in Japan and US, same for base Lancer.

How is Aurion/Camry going, and also Kluger?

At the cost of the RTV and Falcon ute though, Falcon wagon too in several instances, Ranger makes a very good 2nd family car...so obviously does Hilux.

Read prev. that Mazda3 actually outsells Corolla in the private market.
Drove past a hertz ex hire car sales yard..pretty obvious where all the yaris, camry and corolla's go.

Mondeo sales would jump up big time if they had the Turbodiesel auto wagon here. Would like to see how many VW Passat TDI wagon v sedans are sold - know several that replaced Terri TS and Ghias.

I really don't understand why people buy Diesels now, I mean Diesel has gone up like 30c in the last 6 months and ATM is 30c dearer than Petrol. On a 70L tank fillup, that's $21 difference! Ridiculous.

I drive a TDCi Mondeo and I can see the point. I average 8.5l/100km driving in an urban area, ie stop start traffic and the odd good run. I average 2500km per month and fill up 3 times with plenty left over on the third tank before the months out.

But 8.5l/100 is the average for any smaller 4cyl car (CJ lancer, Mazda 3 etc) and they're paying 30c/l less than you are, so where's the advantage?

Let's look at it this way. First of all I doubt a Mazda 3 or Lancer will acheive 8.5l around town. Focus has the same 2.0l engine as the 3 and I've seen the economy figures. Lancer and Corolla for that matter are'nt any better. Secondly, they are a smaller car. If you use the Focus TDCi then that's a fair comaparison as it will consistanly be in the 7.0-8.0 range.
Mondeo has a bigger back seat, boot and is about 200kg heavier.

Interesting to see Toyota Hilux take the top rank for the first time in history - also first time for a ute to take out number 1... Followed by Corolla then Commodore.

Toyota is an unstoppable powerhouse. 24% market share so far this year.

i thought the territory was down..look at the kluger with 1268 sales..rwd terri in need of upgrade very quickly.

I just bought a BF II XL Ute in April. I think it is more the lack of supply rather than Holden continuing to sell more utes. The range that the dealers had left were pretty light on. If I didn't have to get the ute so soon, I probably would of hung on a little and bought a FG.

I can understand why Falcon sales are down with the new model here now but that Craptiva is catching up on Territory, every month it's a bit closer. Ford need to put a diesel in it and face lift it real soon!

Toyota are just about unbeatable now and not just in Aus but the world over!
