Default KQ Laser - Fuel Light Question

Hi guys,

Recently bought a 2002 KQ Sedan and was just wondering how many litres of petrol remain when the fuel light comes on. I read the manual but all it says is fill up as soon as possible when it light's up but some manuals, like the Territories, gives an actual amount in litres that would be remaining at this point.

Thanks guys.

you dont want to let the fuel drop below the low fuel light indicator
you may pick up rubbish in the tank and drag it to the filter or damage the injectors
a guess
try 2 litres or less after the light comes on .

It's 8 litre's left in the tank when the light come's on, but only use this as a rough example, as when mine come's on I have filled up numorous time's and I have worked it out to have come on when there is 12 litres still left, the same for my old's Laser KN.
I know that I can do so many klm's to a tank and let mine run down all the time, I drive around all week with the orange light on ,lol.

Thanks guys for the replies...was just curious as I have just picked up the car and don't really know how many k's to expect from it yet as have only used 1/4 in a bit over a week.

Certainly won't try and run it too much after the light has come on but just good to know that there is still a few k's left (50 etc.).

Thanks again.

Shane

in my Mum's KQ laser there is 10L left in the tank when the fuel light turns on. i'd say run the tank down as much as you can to get rid of the rubbish left in the tank to stop it mixing with your fresh tank everytime you fill up
