Body kit you can get from AWC (site sponsor, link at top of page). Full kit including XR50 front, rear bar, skirts and wing is around $1.7k plus painting (get the prices off the site and add them up, but I think they're like $500, 500, 300, 400, or thereabouts). AWC will freight to anywhere in Oz and they have a special deal for AFF members - just ask them about it when you order.
As for painting the whole car? Depends what you want. You would need to get a quote from a local spray painter/panel beating place. I would imagine for a slight rub back and spray in the same colour, you are looking around $5k mark (this would include spraying the body kit as well, of course). Take a look at Bucknakeds car - it will give you a really good idea of how the kit will look, or sfr_rob's car, or carratt's car...etc A few cars on this site have been AWC'd.

id like to know the chances of a TS50 front bar and skirts fitting on an AU1 fairlane
the cuves in the bumper look the same.. the only bit i can see a problem with is the part between the headlights..

very true JC
just unsure on the front bumpers being similar ... cutting and smoothing the grille secton to make it sit BELOW the grille would be a good idea.. or even removing the stock grille and filling that space with the front bar with some nice chrome mesh like a TL50 would look quite different as from my research the standard AU headlights and the fairlane headlights are the same shape in the grille corner point part.. (havnt had a fairmont and a fairlane near eachother to be able to take measurments etc.)

i'm pretty sure i've seen an AU falcon with a fairlane grille. Perhaps that part is interchangeable after all?
