Default 3" exhaust for E series

the guy who fitted my Redback exhaust said that there is an "off the shelf" 3 inch Tailpipe i.e over the diff and out the back.
Does anyone know if anyone makes this?
Do redback make it?
Cheers

yes lukey do make 3 inch systems. Im aware that lukey do a system for the V8's running a 2.5inch mandrel bent system leading into a single 3inch. Its something around the $500 mark though.

unless you are forced why bother? and even if you are forced a custom jobby should be best anyway. 3" on a na 6 would sound terrible

What makes a custom 3 inch tailpipe better than an off the shelf one? Seriously how can that be?

well if its just the tail pipe then theres no difference but if you are doing a turbo conversion it would be a full system anyway. im guessing hes wanting to put a 3" on a na 6 which is entirely his choice, just theres no point in doing it as it wont make it sound better and it wont make it perform better judging by his sig which doesnt list a very large amount of mods

not if you get the right combination of mufflers, cats and reso. It can sound pretty tough if done right, would be a very deep note though. But on a stock 6cyl, i would suggest that backpressure would be an issue?

Custom sounds cooler, also adds value and reduces ETs. Proven.

You'll be able to use the rear section of the V8 exhaust, will have to get something made up to meet your cat but.
Tail pipe is the hardest bit to get made anyway, from cat to tailpipe is a piece of ****.

'custom' is bullshit unless the guy making it has done it before, tried the combo on the dyno and proved it to be good. Otherwise it's just gonna be a whatever fits and doesn't hang too low scenario.

I'd rather off the shelf anyday. At least you know they've done their R&D. Plus it'll all bolt up 100% and probably be legal too.

Redback do sell off the shelf 3" tailpipes. I have one lying next to my car as I type.

I am not sure if lukey sell a complete 3" system, as I enquired about this a short time ago. They do the 3" tailpipe though.

I am getting the rest of my exhaust made up soon. I am buying 3m of 3" pipe, 2 x 45 degree bends, and 1 x 90 degree bend, and 6, 2 bolt 10mm thick flanges. I am going with 1 muffler at the moment, the size is 10"x5". I am sure its going to be loud, if its annoying then I will see if I can get a muffler in the tailpipe.

Rollin had a 3" exhaust on his current ED that he recently purchased. It still went pretty well, and would keep up with his N/A EB XR6. Both were autos.

Stop guessing mate...
i have modified the 2.5inch tailpipe with about 600mm of 3.5" exhaust from the exit and it sounds really good..
i wanted to know who does the 3" tailpipe because im turbo charging soon.
Is the 3" lukey/ Redback tailpipe $500!? shytza

rollins old exhaust is now on my car, 3inch is a bit loud cruisin but makes some sweet noise at 6,000rpm only reason i needed 3 inch was for the turbo, so when my new 3in' hi flo cat and all the turbo **** goes on it will be worth a bit of noise.
