Default SS inductions big mouth

Hi everyone

I saw in a another thread, someone had a B series ss inductions big mouth snorkel fitted to their TE50, I've been looking around cos i wanna do this, but i can't seem to figure out which SS big mouth fits.... It seems that there are many different sizes, even varying between BA and BF and XR6 to XR6T of the big mouth snorkel...

Anyway i wanna try and fit one on my au xr8, but don't know which will fit?

Ill try and find the thread to show u guys..... But in the meantime has anyone done this? Also i have the BA pod setup, thats why im doing it....

Thanks

Ring ss indusctions, or rocket industries. And find out- they might do one for the au's? If not any of them "should" fit with a bit of dremel work ;)

or find the thread and ask, whom ever has it done on the T3?

IIRC SS dont make an OTRCAI for AU's the one fitted to the TE would have been a BA OTR modded to fit AU

The above one in the link is the right one for an AU V8, and you can use the standard airbox or modify a BA Pod one to suit.

The ones in this link have this alluminium air scoop as well. I cna vouch for the fact that you can fit your fist in the entry of the ss inductions kit to and the hole where it goes to the airbox is a lot larger to

It's a Ba turbo one.... But id think you'd get much much better flow from say a factory fg xr8 one hey! ;) You'll notice with anyone who fit's an ss inductions ba turbo one it's only a matter of time before it sag's and honestly there just not that large and definatly dont justify $350+ Although my mate with a ba turbo reckons it was a good mod.http://i319.photobucket.com/albums/m.../Stripdown.jpg
As you can see he's has been on 6-12mths and is now sagging pretty bad though. Look for austin bf2s thread when he was selling his new fg system... you can see what i mean by big. It's what you want i reckon!
But if your set on the ss induction one, make a large prop of sorts in the middle to try stop it from closing up ;)

I dont understand by what you mean by would it fit?
None of em are going to fit without some sort of modifying hey.
Choose which one you want, buy it, then go about fitting it..... They all close under your bonnet, some might require an extension, or a larger hole cut into your pod box etc. common unless you buy one, completely designed for what you have, they'll require some work.... ya did know thats there's fordmods.com with a wa section? lol

* Note i wanted when they first came out an F6 snorkel on my au box, so i brought one and went about fitting it! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=260422725453

where there's a will there's a way!
