Default Talk about Old School !!

They don't come much more old school than this old classic. It's period correct in every way right down to the side valve V8 and wooden floorboards.
(Sorry about the pics but they are from my el-cheapo phone.)

I spotted it in Gulgong at the Henry Lawson festival they had yesterday and apparently it's owned by a bloke who works in the local museum and he drives it to work 3 or 4 times a week :thebirds:. There wouldn't be too many daily drivers of this ilk getting around these days that's for sure. It was in the parade as well and ran as smooth as a babys ....
I just love it

cool/tuff looking old buggy. just the kind of machine that i would expect to see around that part of the country. NSW central tablelands is full of petrolheads that like to do things differently.

Gulgong is a long way from Pt Lincon Bushbasher, you on holidays.

This looks like a suitable thread for my pic. It is a classic 60's klaxon. My dad had it on his first car, a FB.
It is my current restoration project.
It was covered in rust when i aqquired it.

No holiday Dave, I just moved over here on friday chasing the money. We'll probably be here for the next 5 yrs or so then we'll go home. I'm already having withdrawls from not being able to drop everything and be fishing 3 minutes from home. :

How far is Windemere Dam and am I going to need more than 6lb line and a flick stick to land one of these Yellowbellys?

Windemere dam is just down the road between Mudgee and Rylstone. and you have Burrendong dam just back towards Wellington.
or if you are into trout fishing, try the Turon river down Sofala way.
