Default Does this sound right??

Hey guys just wondering if you could help me out, Im looking at an AU XR6 motor on ebay to put into my ED, the thing is it its got an EL XR6 rocker cover on it as opposed to an AU one...did any AUs come out with the EL rocker cover? i have the model number here..

WR2T-6090-AB

I cant quite read the first set of numbers so it could also be WP2T

would that be the one with the hole in the rocker cover???????

To me from the photos it looks like a EL engine.
But I could be wrong, they have different sumps too,I was actually ask the guy about this engine. It should have the intec casting on the rocker cover in red!

it's kinds hard to tell from the photos, but looking at the sump, it does look like it could very well be from an au. the rocker cover is definitely e series...i guess at this point it's take it or leave it..if it had more time on it you could get an engine number from him and check it...

Whatever part that number came from, it's an AU part. WR2A is the prefix for Ford parts introduced in the AU ser. 1, WR2T is the prefix for AU ser 1 Tickford parts.

Unless it is a hybrid motor ... end of E-series start of AU1. There were differences ... unable to tell you the exact details though.
