Question 89 Laser won't idle???

Hi guys!!
I am desperate for some help for my damn car!! Ok, my problem is i can start the car just fine, but to keep it running, i have to have my foot on the accelerator, as soon as i take it off, the car dies. I have no idea where to start (i am a female, so be gentle) so if anyone has any ideas on where i start, i would really appreciate it, this car is my only means of transport for my kids and i, and without it, we are up **** creek!
Thanks in advance!

Oh, and as far as i know, it's fuel-injected, not carby fed

I'd be checking for something like a blockage in the fuel lines or a filter. Has it ever had a filter change?
