Chris Murphy does nothing for me, certainly doesn't have that Idol/rockstar image, but that shouldn't matter, but to the people that vote in these things it probably does.
Bobby Flynn, he definitley has one of those love or hate type of styles. At the moment i'm leaning toward the positive side for him. He is quite unique, can pull off some great notes and is just weird, which can work with some luck. Good luck to him i say. At least he is different. The other's are OK, nothing too exciting. |

Not a big fan of any this year.
The only one with talent was Reagan and she got voted off cos the viewers are dumb as all hell. As well as the judges. None had ever heard of Karnivool. Gee you cant tell they work at comercial radio stations can you. Karnivool are only one of the biggest growing heavy acts in Australia. Dumb dumbs. I gotta say Bobby had some balls painting his face like Bowie last night. Strange man that one. |

The only reason I watch Idol is to laugh at Mark Holden. That bloke is from another planet! Probably the same one Bobby is from!

For me this year it has to be Bobby & when he performed when the war is over it was the best idol performance ive seen. Chris is a Rocker but I think his brother Courtney had a better voice. The "Irishman" Damien has a great voice also.

I like the show, dunno why, but it's good.
However I think the format is getting old... Marcia Hines should step aside, she is old, boring and predictable. "Be true to yourself", "you go girlfriend", "how do you feel that you went?"... Mark Holden is also off the planet. He forgets that people don't analyse the half key notes of each singer, they vote for someone that they like. And his Ned Flanders style ranting speaks for itself (which I noticed he hasn't done much of this year). Kyle says what the average smartass in the lounge room says - so he should stay. I think in the end it will come down to Lisa Mitchell (unless they have something like RnB or Disco night, in which case she will go down harder than a bad hooker joke), Jessica whateverhernameis, and one of the guys, just hopefully not Bobby. But I don't think any of them will do any good commercially. Shannon Noll is the only one you could say has built a career on the show. And the fact that they keep going on about the showing be Australian "IDOL", how many idolised the overweight, chain smoker from a few years back? Dan.

Gotta agree there though although I get the feeling that maybe she's better off anyway, if you wanted to have any control of your career you are better off not winning. I can't imagine Reagan fitting in with the "Young Divas"....... Regards, Tote

I think Australian Idol is a little pooey. Once again, people don't know what real talent is.
Too often, the best doesn't win. |

Bloody rubbish imo....marcia hines is the only one with credibility ( she needs a job I suppose) who should get out of the show, the 2 buffoons just irritate me, 1 looks as if he cops it up the A... ! with his eyes popping out, the other should have been a girl ala Farrah Fawcet !
That Kyle whatever is a master tool, compared to Rockstar SupaNova this show is very lame very lame !

Holden has around 30 years experience in the music industry, beginning his career in the 1970s in his trademark white suit and red carnations, having some success being signed to EMI and releasing songs such as "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again", "I Wanna Make You My Lady" and "Last Romance". He achieved platinum album sales, was awarded three Logies, and appeared in many TV shows and films such as The Young Doctors and Blue Fire Lady. He won a Logie award in 1978 but was not available to receive it because he was in the bathroom. After moving to the United States in 1980 he had hits as a songwriter with several artists and had covers of his songs performed by such people as Belinda Carlisle, Fleetwood Mac, Donny Osmond and David Hasselhoff. After the birth of their daughter in 1996, he and his wife Anna moved back to Australia, where he formed Marjac Productions with friend Jack Strom. This company managed popstar Vanessa Amorosi until early 2006, when Ralph Carr took over. He has written songs for Amorosi, Delta Goodrem, Nikki Webster and Sophie Monk. so i think he would know what he is talking about...
