Default Need opinions on this EF Ghia....

I went to have a look at a 1995 EF Fairmont Ghia this morning, and am thinking about buying it.
It has a few grandpa options, Wind deflectors, some sort of tinted rear visor thing, bonnet protector and various crooked RACV, Navy, and french/canada stickers...
Pros
-76,000 genuine K's
-Dealer fitted tickford kit
-Immaculate interior
-Excellent Body
-Cleanest engine bay i have ever seen on an E-series
- New aircon pump
-New belts, hoses, etc...
Cons
-$6700 neg.
-CD stacker broken
-1 window dosent move
-FR Guard was pushed out a little, by the roadworthy guys...
-Dints in the boot, just under the number plate
-Bonnet shield same as the one on the XD
-The guy was wiping the condensation and dirt off with a crusty old towel,
-RH headlight is a naturally tinted yellow
It comes with a RWC and 6 months rego.
It is dirty and i had to get away quickly... so here are a couple of pics...

looks pretty trouble free!
would only need to spend $200 or so to get it upto scratch.
good polish, set of wheels and some lowered springs and you'll be laughing.
Offer him 5500, goto 6000.

Yeap pretty much what EFFALCON said, it sound good. Nice low k's too.

Are you sure its a ghia? It has velour, no ghia badging or chrome strips...

You expressed interest in mine, if you are keen I made a thread this morning. Its a shameless plug I know, but good to have options.

Thanks John, I have an Ipod ready Alpine HU looking for a home so thats alright...
And lowering is a must, plus i might just chuck the Concordes on it for now if i get it..
Hmm, i thought it looked a bit too fairmontish, not enough ghia in it.
I was under the impression that Ghias had woodgrain in them aswell, but this one dosent... I will check the compliance plates on it when i go for a second look.
But that will give me something to bargain with...
He said it had a 'special' manifold aswell, but because i dont know a whole lot about EF's i have no idea what he was on about... It's not the same as my old mans EL 'mont one though, bigger, flatter and plasticky, (official term :P)
Cheers Polyal, i'll check out your thread...

Well if it doesn't have woodgrain then I am 99.9% sure its not a Ghia. It depends on what you want, remember series 2 EF and EL Ghias came with the XR engine etc.

Nah, after investigating this, i have decided to either leave it or buy if i can get an awesome price...
The fact its just a fairmont, with kit (easy to get afterwards) and low kays, dosent really appeal to me much anymore...Cheers guys...

All you need is a good cut and polish, new rims and its a great looking car.

And its got a not bad kit on it.
