SYDNEY?S MOTORING FRATERNITY EMBRACES CHARITY EVENT

One of the largest ever One Day Motor Shows in Australia will be held at the Penrith Panthers Exhibition Centre and surrounding grounds on Sunday May 7th 2006.

This is the first event of its type held in Sydney to raise much needed funds for the needy. Many of you may have seen a special on TV last week that is showing fairly slow progress. The biggest problem is the needy have nothing and we will be a huge help to these people. Do not forget to recommend your preferences on how the money is directed, we are all in it together!

The organising committee plus AME met at the Penrith venue last wednesday morning (19/04/06) and mapped out an exciting layout for the Show. The posters have been printed and are now out being distributed and further press releases are being forwarded to all media organisations.

As expected the response has been phenomenal and we, the motoring community should have been doing this type of charity support event long before now, but as they say, better late than never. The way the organising committee has decided to distribute the funds has recieved widespread acclaim from all corners of the Scene and we are extremely hopefull that every cent is spent in the right area's.

We had one car owner in Sydney that cannot be at the show because his car is not ready, but he sent in his entry as a donation last week... unbelievable and the Street Machine Association of SA had a charity cruise over easter raising $400 for the cause... at this point with sponsors, donations and entries we have already past the $9,000 mark.

2006 will concentrate on the Innisfail region where thousands are still homeless and without power and sanitation 4 weeks after Cyclone Larry! The GOOD GUYS event will subsequently be held annually with the funds raised going DIRECTLY to other unfortunate Circumstances and Charities that the Motoring Fraternity deems suitable recipients? we welcome your suggestions.

Support for the Show is running extremely high with over 30 different car clubs and a host of private individuals representing various Makes and Models already registering entries for the Show. More clubs are expected to join the event over the next few weeks.

Every vehicle entered into the Show will get a Frameable Certificate of Appreciation from the event sponsors, PACEMAKER HEADERS and SHANNONS INSURANCE. The will also be a number of other trophies and prizes on the day that have been generously donated by all types of companies and individuals. The South Australian Street Machine Association had an Easter Charity Cruise to also benefit the event plus the ?Cairns Show Society? has donated a trophy? A copy of the certificate is shown below..

Entry forms and more information for the event can be collected from the SHANNONS office at Unit B 12 Frederick Street St Leonard?s or the PACEMAKER HEADERS NSW Distributor? Ultimate Exhaust / Injection Perfection at Drover Rd in the Bankstown Airport Complex. You can also download an entry by clicking on the button on this page.

The Good Guy?s Charity Sunday is for everybody regardless of brand preference and will also embrace Round One of this years Holden V Ford series and include the NSW leg of the 2006 Pacemaker Header Australian Horsepower Championship and Shannons Australian Showcar Championship? with competitors vying for the Ultimate Prize ? ?AU STRALIA 1? visit www.ameshow.com.au/us_tour/us_tour.htm for more details on the best prize in the Australian Showcar / Dyno Scene.

Expect to see some of the foremost Showcars and Dynocars in Sydney at the Good Guy?s with prizes and categories for all types of vehicles.

DynoDynamics will have one of their latest Dyno's at the Show for the Dyno Competition.

There will be a full day of action and Entertainment from Bands to DJ?s to DYNO to Auctions plus Trade stands, Apparel, Memorabilia, Performance parts and much more.Car entry is $30 and public $10. Kids 12 and under are free!
