Crap and sleezy I reckon, I walked in nobody helped me.
There was abusive and worried customers.
The aeroplane noise is just a tad intense.
I wouldnt reccommmend them.

I don't recommend them, I had to buy 3 sets of wheels from them, all of them had a problem, 1 set badly scratched, 1 had the wrong tyres fitted (not the right load rating, illegal fitment) and the other set had tyres fitted the wrong way (3 lefts & 1 right)

I have heard stories of them using cardboard spacers to make wheels fit, I don't know how accurate this is but I wouldn't be surprised.

i bought a set of wheels and tyres off them, nothing wrong with the wheels itself but they didn't torque the wheel nuts on properly and it was way too tight, i had brake shudder issues later on though.

I know a couple of guys that have gotten wheels off them and they were perfectly ok (wheels couriered to WA). Can't comment on the actual place itself.

They're pretty dodgy.

My friend drove her Echo in there to get a new tyre, as she'd scrubbed one on a gutter and put a hole in it, and they made her cry with their insults about the car (full of toys) and her driving when she told them what happened.
"Did you get your licence in a cereal box?"
She's not into cars as such, but she likes her car, and it suits her.

Then they charged her $250 for the tyre, and to fit it to the car.

ummmm well Tempe Tyres are no1 in sydeny they say it, and everyone knows it. They are by far the cheapest when it comes to tyres and wheels (bridgstone RE92 205/65 R15 for $90 fitted and balanced come on guys.). Thats why there the Busiest in sydney. My large extened family and friends have been using them for years everthing form taxis to performance cars and never had any problems. service is great and quick and sure sometimes things can go wrong when you have 30 workers around and your flat out 7 days a week, but they have alot of pride in there work. Oh yeh once, 2 days after i put tyres on the cab i got a nail in one.....they fixed it for free. all other tyre shops envy tempe.

I have bought tyres from them for years and have never had a problem.they are the cheapest in sydney.they must do over 1000 cars a week, they are that busy and surely mistakes can happen.i have had friends buy wheels from them as well and never a problem.I am reluctant these days to recommend people who work on cars from panel beaters to mechanics, tinters ect but i do recommend tempe tyres to people.

Got a set of rims off them recently, sure price was good with decent tyres but when it comes to aftersales service it starts to get a bit dodgy.

If you pick out a fault in a rim they are very hesitant in changing it & give you excuses like thats how they are or you wont even notice it, they start to get arrogant & defensive & if you dont stand your ground they'll just let the faulty rim pass.

I have heard stories about the rims they sell & am know starting to beleive.
Also wandering if some of the rims they sell are seconds with minor faults???
Could explain price some times?

They also seem to do a bit of center cap swapping I've noticed with some rims. If then brought to their attention they say "its very similar anyway"

I dont know but things seem to be a bit shady with them!

I have also had two set's of chrome wheels off them in the past which were faulty & shouldn't have even left there in that state, this just proves to me that they try & pass alot of faulty crap off & hope for the best.

Don't know if its just bad luck on my behalf but it doesn't seem like it as theres alot of stories goin round, I honestly dont think I'd deal with them again, few too many problems too mny times :

Yeah I have not had a good experience with them either. Just a quick google search brings up a number of different car forums with similiar queries regarding quality and service.

People go there because there cheap, they are cheap for a reason.
If your a cheap skate and want crap go there, good luck to you,you deserve what you get.

I personally would rather cut wheels out of a Jarrah log with a spoon and fit them to my car than go there again,They blew up a 4wd tyre on me because the little reverse cap wearing fitter didnt know how to fit it up on the split rims, after this the owner comes out and basically blamed me for having "sheet rims".
Whats worse he called around a crowd of cuzzes, and played the tuff boy..

It's not a matter of being a cheap skate.

You'd think they could give you a good price because they order large quantities not faulty crap. They are supposed to be the biggest & best remember.

But any how personally I'll be steering clear of them from now on, I'd rather spend a couple of hundred dollars more & bypass all the crap & headaches.

PS. Can you make me a set of those jarrah rims they've gotta be better than tempes stuff

yep, they do cheap deals on tyres just make sure you know what you want before you get there (ie do your research).

most of the wheels they sell are crap blingers and no name chinese stuff. They are a bit unorganised so sometimes you can be waiting around a bit. The vibe is definately cowboy rather than quality. but if you go with eyes open and watch them should be fine

All I needed was to see the cars getting around sydney with the stickers on the bottom of the front windscreen blocking the drivers vision to know I wouldnt ever be going there.

Plenty of deals from more reputable ebay places I would trust first.

I went to the new tyre service at St Marys that is connected to them when I was looking at a set of 17's for the missus's EL. Went in for a set of plain 17x8 five spoke and walked out when they called me a f*$kwit for not wanting the 20x9's fully sick chromies with even more sick wheel spacers they wanted to sell me. They even offered to chop my springs for free to get a deal!

It now has a nice set of 17's from my local tyre service and a good set of lowered springs I fitted myself. Would not touch them with a barge pole.

i went to this dealership about a month ago. I was in the b double and parked out the front. They joked about a set for the truck. i disregarded them and went in to ask what they had. They just would stop bull sh1ting about the truck and how i polished the wheels. i couldnt give a toss. i was there to enquire about 19 for my t3. Then when i said i wanted them light i was told that every wheel they stock was light.

The rim was as light as the 40t payload ontop of my trailers. as i walked out they said i would be back. Don't think so.

also a mate that has a super prusuit in sydney got done for the rims not being austtarlian standard and had to be towed to home. then next morning him and the police with his rims in the tray went back to tempe and asked q's about them. He was first told he didn't buy them from them. second he produced a receipt from them and a credit card receipt from when they took the money out. The police went snooping around and ask acouple of q's and found out that two so-called tyre fitters were getting the dole while working for cash to pay for there rims they had on the second hand corrolla out front.

it is a bit sus tho that is what you pay for.

i too brought exactly the same rims after seeing them on willows car.got here in quick time(central queensland too)and came very well packaged up.even the ford dealer was impressed with it,as they fit them on the new car.
having said that,i have rang them before about legal 20's for my turbo territory, and have been basically told to sort it out for yourself.i emailed too,and got no response.so as long as you know EXACTLY what you want, they are alright to use, imo.

2 guys at work have used them on more than one occasion and reckon its the easiest and cheapest place to buy rims from.

as long as you know what your after, and tell them exactly then they are great, but they can be a little useless if you have no idea what you want

very cheap transport prices too

otherwise they would deal with them again, be warned a couple of dodgy dealings in the background of a phone call have been heard, nothing serious just WTF

never dealt with them in person
