Good news for Ford!

I'd like to see the Fusion name introduced here in Oz (and the Mondeo name dropped), I think it would be good for the brand.

Its too bad the rest of the world won't see it (Mondeo) for a long time.

But as long as the US has it then who cares right. One Ford FTW.

Disagree, I think the Mondeo has established quite a reputation here as a great car, and quite possibly the best in its class with the MA-MC series, whereas the Fusion name is a relative unknown.

It's just a nicer name and kinda gives Ford a fresh start. If done correctly, it could be FoA's new volume seller.

Agreed.
Ford are good at confusing people with names. Stick with what they already have IMO.

Tis a shame we won't see this for quite a while. Ford arn't doing themselves any favours with the long delay in updating the tired Mondeo.

New Mondeo has one hand tied behind its back due to the Euro crisis. Ford planned to launch it later but not this late.

Drove the Fusion and the Altima for a few thousand miles in the US last year, 4 cyl standard rental car version. Liked the Fusion more.

But I liked the Mustang better....

Got a mate that drives a fusion in the U.S for work. Came here for a stay and drove an FG turbo.... Loved it and wouldn't shut up about the kick it gave him! Two sides.
