Thumbs up *Dyno Day 2010 Edition - 27 November @ GenTech*

Hey guys.

Putting the call out again this year, to let everyone know about another of our world famous Canberra and region Dyno Day's.

Our dyno day this year is a fair way post Bathurst, but don't let that dampen your tribal instincts. Keep that petrol running through your veins and join us for a power charged day.

As usual it will be a big day with food, drinks, big screens, and some very nice hardware up on the rollers. Entry fee will be $50 for three runs and a printout. Just show your interest in this thread, and let all your friends know. The previous three dyno days have been huge with Holden just edging out Ford so come and support your brand!!

Yep. Marcus was invited to the Motor Show for the launch, and discussed bringing the car down here. It fit in with the schedule so will be here. John McGrath Ford will also be supporting us for the first time, and will have a FPV car on display.

That's awesome. Would be great to see the Walkinshaw there and a new GT. Good to see McGraths getting on board. Should be a good day.

Okay guys. Well everything is in place for a HUGE day tomorrow. Everything from the fold out trailer BBQ and BIG screens to the trophies and spectator area. From the Walkinshaw supercar and 2 Brock directors, to the new FPV and customer show cars.

So come on down and join us to see all that, and 55+ cars run up on the dyno ranging anywhere from 100 odd rwhp up to hopefully 1000+!!!

We will be kicking off at 8am and should finish around 4pm. See you there!

Well what can we say. A huge thanks has to go out to the Canberra and region community and to the numerous interstate guys, for again making this a HUGE and successful event for us. After having 64 competitor cars run in our corresponding day last year, which broke all records, we didn't think we could ever top it.

BUT WE DID! The general interest from off the street, along with the 54 pre-entered cars, meant that on the day, a RECORD 66 cars hit the dyno!!! A huge effort for the GenTech boys for their hard work. A big thanks again to the HSV and FPV Clubs of Canberra for their support, as they always show up in numbers every year to help make this day successful.

Another record was broken too, the top power recorded on the day. Our previous dyno day record of 567rwkw, was bettered by not one but two awesome cars. The overall winner, was Graham with his beautiful HZ big block chev supercharged beast running a staggering 725rwkw or 972rwhp in the old money. Backing this up was the insane VL Turbo weapon of Mark's which ran up 664rwkw or 890rwhp.

Stifling hot conditions meant a lot of cars were a little down on power compared to the October date we usually run this day, so it was a good effort by the guys pulling big numbers.

Also a big thanks to our sponsors, which allowed us to present plenty of cash and other prizes for all winners, and a few lucky door prizes too. Sponsors included: Herrod Motor Sport, Commonwealth Motors Canberra, Rob @ White Room Studio's, JBT Brakes, John McGrath Ford Auto Group of Canberra, Walkinshaw Performance, Summernats A.C.T, Craig @ McDonalds Canberra and Danny @ Little Chef Cafe.

Full results and class winners will be up within the hour. Photo's hopefully in the next day or two.
