whats the deal with redbook wantin 22 bucks for a price guide ?

I was just lookin to see what price guide the mrs car is worth n they wanna cherge me n send me some junky valuation ?
anywhere else i can go for a price guide ?

For a rough estimate, just look at redbook.com.au on used cars. Its $22 for the certificate, free if just want a guide.

Call an insurance company such as AAMI and ask for the current market value on the car. It will give you an idea of the average price of the car.

I is just headin to vic roads in the morning and figure they wont believe what we paid for the car so will move to market value and trying to work out finances to cover the $$.

99% of insurance companies grossly over value cars , evidence my 1996 EF Futura with 344000k's is insured for $6,500.00 .

Yes that is true, but it will give an idea on what the average vehicle of that type is worth.

Vicroads don't care what price you put on the rego/transfer papers.They send the info to the State Revenue Office and if they aren't happy with it they will send you a please explain,which is pretty rare.
