Sup,
Just wondering if any1 has pics of their trans cooler ef or el or where abouts its located ie. And do they come factory installed? People are saying to me to get a bigger trans cooler but when i look at the transy its only a one part unit. |

There is no factory fitted trans cooler on the EL unless you bought the car with factory towbar and even then its to small.

I got the standard one on mine (it was originally an auto and I was too lazy to take it out). It is behind the bumper just in front of the radiator. If I remember correctly it was as useless as tits on a bull.

I have an aftermarket one fitted, and dont go through the radiator as they can cause coolant to enter the trans fluid when you inevitably blow up their plastic tanks (one down). It is fitted at the front of the radiator and ca be fitted easily.
I removed the metal joiner in the middle of the trans line beneath the front of the car, and ran that to the cooler. I removed the top metal trans line from the radiator and bent it 45 degrees (using a socket and extension) and ran the other line down under the headlight. I hope this helps. |
