DBA > RDA
I've had both and the DBA last longer , they are lighter , they look better..... These are on my GT at the moment which also has 4 spot front and rear Brembos http://www.dba.com.au/dba-t3-club-spec-series/ Pads are EBC red stuff which have been an excellent street pad so far. A bit dusty when bedding in but low dust afterwards with good bite hot or cold. Complete set up : DBA T3 club spec rotors all round EBC red stuff pads all round braided good ridge brake lines all round with castrol react DOT 4 performance fluid. Brilliant set up for street use.

Depends what your application is as well. I have used RDA slotted rotors for many years. But it's been on work utes and family cars though. Have served me well and have had many many kays use out of them.
agree with Bluey though ... good fluid and a good pad will make a difference as well. Braided lines give a nice decent pedal feel as well. I run Project Mu NS400 pads on my vehicles ... as I don't push them. They bite just as good (if not better) as the Ferodo DSP's but with no dust. Oh ... check out Race Brakes on here ... Matt looks after all forum members of brakes and is well priced and delivers to your door as well ... or if in Western Sydney area ... you can drop in to pick it up and have a chat as well

Matt will have a range of options for your sizing/application when it comes to pads.

Some pads are best suited to heavier usage/applications.

Never had an issue with them. They do the required job perfectly fine.
Comes down to your application. They are a lot better than the standard factory offerings.

Have RDA on the Turdrolla - go rusty all over in the slightest humidity.
DBA on the ute - No rust (except when I get the actual braking surface wet, nowhere else like rda). That's enough for me, without taking into account the DBA's superior kangaroo paw venting, build quality etc.

RDA (Rotors Drums Australia) don't let the name confuse you. RDA are simply a distributor of overseas manufactured stuff, probably mostly made in China.
DBA (Disk Brakes Australia) designed and manufactured in Australia. |

A few years ago I needed some discs asap and DBA's weren't readily available so I brought some RDA's.
But upon unpacking the machining was obviously not up to the same standard as DBA's which was then confirmed after fitting as the front wheels wouldn't stop wobbling. I put one on the rear and with the vehicle on stands ran it in gear. They had so much side run out it wasn't funny. Cut my losses and waited for some DBA's to arrive and the junk RDA's are at rest somewhere in the local tip. |

yes but by what iv been seeing in my research the RDA has a lot more quality issues in the long run.
i would rather pay extra and have something decent and long lasting. i was also considering the t5 series until i saw the price |

Never had any issues with DBA T2's on both the BA XR6 and FG... Highly recommended. Performance will also depend a lot on your choice of pads to match.

I believe it's the RDA that are made in Aus and DBA are made in China. I think where the metal used in it is from is the technicality.
Both discs are great. My Brembo discs rust up worse than any of the two above. My RDA's peform flawlessly. The only flaw I see in them is that they are easily identifiable just as the DBA's are and people don't want to look 'cheap'. Fact is I see loads of cars every day running RDA rotors, all are fine and they all do the job better than stock rotors. |

RDA website: http://www.rdabrakes.com.au/page/about.aspx
DBA website: http://www.dba.com.au/about/ In response to which company is a importer/distributor of rotors and which company manufactures rotors in Australia, it couldn't be much clearer. |

ABOUT DBA Disk Brakes AustraliaDisc Brakes Australia is an Australian owned, international manufacturer, designer and global marketer of after-market and OE disc brake rotors and brake pads. While they used to manufacture solely in Oz, they now do some in China too - they have to to stay price competitive.
