Hey guys had a search and couldnt really find what im looking for..
Ive got a Shudder in the brakes under a light application and im pretty sure is from warped rotors. Now i was just going to live with it but my dad has suggested taking his and my car to the track. So now i have 2 options Get the brakes working properly by having them machined (is that right?) Or get new ones? So basically are the AU2 XR6 brakes able to withstand a day at the track or should i think about upgrading them? Note: This probably wont be a regular thing, its once or twice to the track not regular days. Thanks Pik0

Yes - the AU2 brakes are fine for a track day (you only do a few laps at a time anyway).
If you machine them now, and take them to the track, you will probably need to mchine them after the track day anyway. No point doing it twice, so do the track day, then machine. An upgrade to RDA/DBA/any brand slotteds will help dissipate the gases and assist in braking performance, and is certainly a worthwhile upgrade either before or after the track day.

Probably could use them for the odd track day but dont expect them to last any longer than a few laps. If you're really keen about it at the very minimum at least look at the upgrade kit that FTG sells.
New pads - something that will cope with the heat, DOT4 fluid and at the very least slotted rotors (stay away from cross drilled as they will crack) would be what you need.
