If so are you competing or spectating??
I might come and watch.
I hope to participate next week (weather permitting) after Spiro has had a go at the ute.

Just come back from WSID, got there to late run my XR8. It was dissapointing to see the some of the times the BAs were running. The quickest time I saw was a 13.6 a few of them were running these times, and just as many running 14s. Maybe some of you guys can elaborate on why the BAs are struggling so much. The genIII brigade was all over the shop too, a monaro ran 14.9 and another one ran 15.9 all from missed gear changes.:

The highlights of the night were an AU III XR8 that ran 11.1 @ 12? mph and a Haybusa that ran 8.9 @ 167mph ::

That xr8 is Ramson's car, thing is nuts runs low 11's every time on the bottle. Did he have his plates displayed or not.

That hayabusa was nuts, 8.9. Was my first time out there (even to spectate), got 5 runs in. Best was 14.8 @91mph when i took off well. Tried leaving it in 3rd but that ended up slowing my best run of the night. All the others were botched in some way or another, 15.6, 15.4, 15.5, 15.4. Best mph was 93 with a dodgy launch. Should get lower next time.

His car really is the benchmark for 5.0L Fords.

Dont know if he had his plates on.

BA XR8, Lightning Strike, hard back.
Best time so far has been a 14.2 @ 101mph with problems with the ute.
Hopefully next Wed I can have a real go.
Most of the std BA 8's (GT's included) seemed to be doing mid 14's last nite and the BA turbos were 12,13,14's.

There was a bloke there last nite with a blue XR6T with a carbon fibre XR8 bonnet, with plates that match your tag. He was in the staging lanes parked behind 82falcons car, while we were talking. I couldn't figure out why he looked at me weird when I talked to him about the forum. When he lifted the bonnet and I saw 2 pots missing I realised he probably wasn't you. hehehe

C Ya.
Were the plates those poofy red one's with white writing (spelling XRQTAR), haven't seen the car in real life but there's a photo of it in the latest performance ford mag in the drag section.

Got me all confused now. haha
Thought the plate was XRQTOR but could have been TAR.
82falcon might remember as we were looking at it together.
The car had a big Royal Purple sign on back window. Blue tint headlights. (Legal?????)
A lot of carbon fibre including CAI as he is a mate of falkeen from AWC.
A lot of fancy plumbing for intercooler, which I beleive he does for a job.
No edit or chip. I think he was running low 14's but could be wrong.
Nice looker though. (the car I mean.)
I am hanging out for a 13 next week if things go OK on Tues and I can get the launch right.
For some reason 0-60 seems easier at the traffic lights than it does in real life at the track. lol

There have been many people who have said the same thing...Has your track got a concrete start line?
concrete start lines work very good on hot days and with slicks, on a cold night i hate them...Heathcote track and a cold night is bad for for traction on street tyres.

Hello Chris,
Either next Wednesday or the one after I'm thinking, so long as showers are not forecast. We've had a bad run with the weather, you've experienced it yourself. I imagine you'll be there????
