You can buy my set up next week? its a modded Au xr8 box with F6 snorkel fitted
Or get the F6 snorkel from your ford spare parts, was $80 a year or 2 ago..... A few of the guys on here just have a hole cut in the front of the box, which they say makes a difference + it's free. ;) |

i dont know if they were being dodgy or not lol but i think its cheaper than 80

I had on my old XH a dual intake. 1st,was the factory snorkel, 2nd was a pipe that went from the bumper-through to the base of the airbox. and a high flow panel filter to finish it off. Alternatively buy a dual intake pod filter style from the wreckers.

it was a flexible ducting (as in the ute the abs unit was under the front pass. guard)- but a modified VN air intake (90 deg. bend) should do the trick.

Lol it's mine hey. I cheekily put the link up.
Your fine to copy my idea bro, if ya need any tips or pics sent send me a PM. Takes a bit of effort to make it fit the lower snorkel and reversing it works much better flows like the upper snorkel more. Also a better fit. Ive got a different set up now, but that system worked a treat, and looks pretty smick imo cheers peter |

I wouldnt do it again, id buy a bf xr6t box with it fitted, for the time and things needed, it'd cost more to make it lol but get a dremel, liquid nails or a poly filler, matt black paint it's not any easy job hey. I found the lower snorkel fits better reversed, and you'd get more flow as the shape mimics the upper one then. once fited you'll have no trouble it telling you've fitted it though. sound, power and fuel economy all improved. Let us know how you go? ;) |
