Default festiva rear shocks

Does anyone know if rear shock absorber noise/knock is a common problem with Ford Festivas? We have 2 Festivas and both developed this noise soon after purchase. Expensive to replace as well, for a small car. Four hundred bucks a pair.

Yes. Yes it is common. Dunno about $400 a pair though, shop around aftermarket they should set you back around $150 pair. Just as good as genuine.

Thank you for that info. Cheapest quote I have is $373 for KYB set, from Supercheap.
