Default Xr8 mods

Hey everyone. I recently bought myself an '03 BA XR8.
I'm looking to do some modifications to it. I was planning on starting with a flash tune and a Shaker kit. Has anyone tried doing these on their own? Was it difficult? I'm new to this sort of thing.
And are there any other things I could do to bump up the rwkw? Thanks in advance ☺☺
