Default strange clicking?

car is a AU2 FAIRLANE 5L, when i touch the acc pedal i get a clicking sound its just as i push down and when the pedal is coming off. the click is coming from the left of the dash, under, it seems to be where the bem is. any ideas what would be causing it?

Charcoal canister is under the LHF guard, not in the car. If it was in the car that would make driving fun on a whole new level

Manual? I have no idea what Fairlanes are. If it is manual it could be the common pedalbox issues (firewall becomes cracked/damaged).

Otherwise, just check for cables that could be becoming loose. Is it only while the car is running or when it is off and stationary?

wrong track guys. when i push the pedal there is an electrical click. not something broken click. its coming from inside the bem i think. i can put my hand on it and feel it click inside. the car is also on gas if that helps.

I dunno where they mount the solenoid for the gas these days ( still under the hood ) ? , if it aint under the hood then it could be mounted somehwere around there , and causing the clicking sound .

It's a wierd one, does it sound like a relay - i.e like your indicators
And does it do it once, or cycles, if so how long and how fast?

the click is coming from the bem as far as i can see. it does it just as the acc is pushed down and at the same point on the release. its about 3mm so it is something coming in/on when i touch the load pedal.

i recently had my wagon converted to LPG. My Lpg regulator sits on the right hand side of vehicle. When i pressed accelerator pedal i had a noticible clicking sound. I noticed that the hole for the new LPG wiring in the engine bay to the cabin was open or unsealed. I just sealed it with silicone and the clicking cannot now be heard. My issue was that you could hear the regulator pumping through the unsealed hole when pressing the accelerator.
