Default November Vfacts

The November 2005 sales figures will be released early next week. It will be interesting to see how the local models performed as there have been a number of changes as follows:

- Ford released the BF Falcon - how well did it sell?
- Holden's first full month of the employee discount - did the incentives increase their new car sales?
- Mitsubishi 380 - first full month. Will it achieve over 2000 sales after the dismal half month in October where they only sold 951?
- Toyota Camry and Avalon - nothing new for either model so did Toyota lose any gound to the other three?

What are people's predictions?

FF

BF's hardly seen any one road, average sales
Holden, not much better
380 I think will sell around 1200-1500 mark
Toyota, same as previos month

I predict an average month with nothing exciting.

I'm expecting Falcon sales to be low. Things aren't looking good.

Corolla will probably come either second or first in the overall sales - Hilux was getting up there too in the last couple of months! (3492 off the top of my head compared to falcs 3900 or so for sept? Oct was better fords way)

I'm hoping the 380 did well. And Toyota got beaten by the three others. *hopefully* but unlikely.

Not bad but I was hoping for better. What about Fairlane/LTD sales - do you have numbers for this category?

Good to see the Focus is still selling like crap because Ford cant get anymore into the country.. Good work guys 10 out of 10 again :

Falcon Sales were alright tho, with the discounts they are giving at the moment you would hope they would be better.

I don't think they ever really stood a chance against accent and corolla.

They could, but A) you cant get one for 3 months and B) the finish is c r a p. The car rates very highly in comparison to its competitors, but to be sucessful in this market you really need to press the right buttons with respect to value for money and quality!

Ford have real quality issues which they need to rectify if they wish to be sucessful in Australia for much longer, that goes for Falcon, Territory and Focus as there are certainly lemons floating around!

Falcon only 200 units behind the commodore, not a bad effort... Considering Holden’s big push on employee pricing campaign.
Adventra is on fire 389 units

I agree as I thought the Holden employee discount would see them sell a large number of cars. With the BF release the things that caught my attention are as follows:

- Ford outsold Holden of locally manufactured models by almost 700 vehicles
- Falcon's November figure is down by less than 600 on Nov 2004
- Commodore's November figure is down by just over 2000 on Nov 2004
- Ford's YTD figure is down approximately 2,300 on same time last year
- Holden's YTD figure is down just over 13,000 on the same time last year

I am confident that if Holden wasn't offering so big incentives on the VZ that the BF would have been first this month.

I'm not entirely. From what I understand the holden employee discount is not available to fleet purchases, which take up the majority of large car sales. Additionally, the offer only applys to pre 1 Oct 2005 complianced vehicles, so not even every private sale would be receiving the offer.

Not because that doesnt include Astra, Rodeo, Barina etc which outsells its Ford rivals.
