Default Thai Built Ford Fiesta Info

Well pictures are up, and the info is beginning to flow. Mazda have not announced their pricing for the Thai built Mazda 2, but the specifications have been upped so I wonder what Ford will do, make prices cheaper or spec the Fiesta to the brim?

Quote:
Ford Motor Company’s new Fiesta sedan makes its ASEAN debut at the 31st Bangkok Motor Show. Two models of the Thailand-built global compact – a Highlight Silver four-door sedan and a Chilli Orange five-door hatchback – take centre stage at the automaker’s display, kicking off the show that runs from March 26-April 6 2010.
YouTube Video, about one minute in he mentions the 1.6L PowerShift, but they will also sell the 1.6L TiVCT and the 1.4L (no mention of transmissions for the latter though). Also take note of the seat in the car, these are the 'sports seats' available on the Zetec S in the UK!

Some images of the Thai spec (very similar to the Chinese spec) and also have a look at the front grille, has silver highlights similar to the flog lights. The 16" rims are the same as the Zetec S in the UK too.

The unveiling was very similar to the Australia showing of the car.

The front grille reminds me of someone with 'buck teeth'

It's the Sports model in China and appears to be the same in Thailand, I'd assume we'll keep our model names and similar spec levels. Very excited about the PowerShift being availible from the Thai factory though!

No, their S model appears to lack a lot of what we get. Our models should stay the same and are not comparable to the Thai/Chinese spec just like our Zetec doesn't compare to Europe's Zetec. I've already convinced a chick at work to buy a Fiesta Sedan, so there is one more Fiesta to be sold.
