Default Our Cougar Rebuild

Hi we have just got a 2000 ford cougar.

We plan to do a complete rebuild including full respray.
Other plans include full sound system with subs dvd screens.
The engine will get a go over. Also in the works is twin turbo's. I know that is going to be the hardest bit but hey no pain no gain.
I will do updates with pics as we go.

Nice to hear about your plans. If you need any information or suggestion about your upgrade feel free to ask. I may or may not have helpful information but definitely worth giving a shot.

I had similar plans but I had put everything aside and planing to mod into AWD. Looking for a bargain on Jaguar X-type driveline with gearbox or the whole car itself. I don't have a proper place to work at the moment. Looking forward to do this sometime early next year. Anyway, Good luck with yours.

Cheers
Yogi

playing around with the sound system. @ 12 inch subs,4 x 6inch splits, 2 x 2800 watt amps. All this controlled a computer system and a indash 7 inch touch screen.
My son is doing the computer work i am doing the fit up. Have just orderd 2 x 8 inch mid bass speakers to add to the system.

Another update car is still being preped for painting not rushing anything. Dosent help the prevoius owner had some sort of accident and they just bogged up the lh 1/4 panel didnt panel bet it.

While the car is away i turned to the motor. It had a knock in it. Had spun the con rod bearings. When i started dismantling it it was easy to see why. The oil had not been changed for a very long time if at all. It had formed a sump and motor full of sludge and blocked the oil pick up up.

so full rebiuld and clean in order. Parts are here from the usa now.
