Hey guys, i wanna confirm something. Where exactly we're our Cougar's built? USA or Germany? My uncle has this idea that they're made in the US but why would we be in the eurofordclub LOL ;)
Edit: I consulted the Red Book and it says Country of origin : Germany. Come someone confirm this?

Made in Germany, check your Compliance Plate, it should be in both German and English, It was also mentioned to me by a Jaguar fan that they are both assembled in the same factory in Germany.

I'm honestly not sure about the SW models, but I can't see why they'd be sourced from the US when the US only made them for their own LHD market. I'm pretty sure ours came from Germany. If I'm right, your VIN should begin with WF, if so, I beleive that indicates Germany as your country of manufacture.
Okay, further info... go to this link: http://www.autoinsurancetips.com/vin.htm it tells you how to 'decode' your VIN number. Based on my first two letters, my car is made in Germany (W) by Ford (F). Dan

Yup, you're right Dan, my VIN starts with WF so it's definitely a German built Cougar
