Good old GM styling mixed with Contemporary Euro. Holden did admittedly make some nice looking vehicles prior to 1979. The Cortina didn't quite cut it in the looks department and looked liked something grandpa or a pastor would drive in comparison.

I suspect these were just quickly thrown together, the front wheels in particular seem pretty rough with the flared guards.
