Gover is on Holden's payroll or he's way to biased to be a credible journalist and makes a mockery of the profession.
Either way he should not be in the job.

This is my response, doubt it will get posted on carsguide though.

"Holden going hard and fast" versus "Is Ford Australia okay?" These are your two headlines which prove you, Paul Gover, are a biased fool.

Where is the CSIRO hybrid 2L GMH Commodore that was announced in 2000?

Ford worldwide are making money again, GM lost another couple of billion, Ford Aus has announced a $230M investment for i4T, diesel and LPG engines.

This is on top of the recent $500-800M for the FG and the $80M for their latest testing facilities. But you still deride them?

Yet, without proof, you offer up a positive GMHolden story.
Hmmm, no i'm not allowed to submit my comment. This has happened several times in the past for his stories. Wonder if i'm blocked?

PS Sent it to their 'contact us' email.

That just demonstrates that he is little more than a keyboard hero who would probably get all flustered/shitty if he had someone on air/on the phone ripping into him for his views.

HE actually spoke highly of the egas falcon and Focus. Seems his e-boner gets in the way when he's behind his keyboard. Can't see or think clearly.

Ford gave valid reasons for canceling the Focus build. All he has to do is read them.

Motoring in Australia thankfully doesn't live or die by Gover's pen.

You're being far too kind. Someone of his stature is unlikely to be as well hung as that.

Reminds me of that line from The Bloodhound Gang's Fire Water Burn - you know - hung like planet Pluto (hard to see with the naked eye).

I dont dignify that site with a mouse click. By writing this crap he gets guys like us reading his drivel - they get more advertising bucks and so he writes some more .... and so round goes the big wheel and we're back where we started.

Imagine if holden done a 4cly commo instead of the cruze, Gover would be pushing for a public holiday.

So let me get this straight, he opens one article by stating that Ford Australia are in a bad shape because they have had 3 CEO's in 3 years, yet in an another article he basically applauds GMH for the same thing?

While I will not suggest he is on GMH's payroll, I will suggest that he is well and truley biased, and SHOULD be held accountable. NOT GOOD ENOUGH HERALD SUN.

I would rather un ban every person that has been banned in the last 5 years than entertain reading dribble from that clown, good or bad, he proved years ago that if you don't buy him a steak sandwich for lunch then the best your going to get is nothing more than rubbing deep heat on your groins...

Holden management has had about the same turnover as Ford in recent years, yet Gover highlights this about Ford and overlooks the same from Holden.
What "exciting new things" have Holden got? A new crate motor or 2 from the US? A new Korean model to push the standards down from the car it replaces? (Astra and Viva).

Carsguide is too often all tripe.
Gover continues to write with his red crayon, while 'Ask Smithy' is nothing but a section for people to complain about their Fords most weeks.

The best way to form an opinion is to drive a car yourself. Media outlets too often have an agenda.
