There is only one thing to do with that front end... put it on the back of a tractor an plough a field. No matter how many times I see that nose, I just can't grow to like it. It's like the Sarah Jessica Parker of the Automotive world. FUGLY!

The front bumpers are not surplus, the mould is different as the front no longer has an indent for the Pontiac badge.
Saw a black sportwagon yesterday with the G8 front, didnt mind it, it looks less 'trucky' than the normal SS front. |

the commo bogans that love the Chev badges on their SS's will love this...
cos now they can put the wrong badge on another car (Chev/Holden , Chev/Pontiac)... To be fair - the front of the pontiac is tougher looking than the standard SS front...

Oh no! Theres no where for a chev badge ahahaha.
I saw one of these in a ute the other day, and it had a pontiac badge on the back. Does that mean they are badged as pontiacs, or the tool just stuck one on there?

That is almost too funny. I suppose at least they're finding a use for now redundant moulds/presses, although i think it looks a bit uncohesive. How long has it been since a Holden/commodore (if ever) hasnt had Holden or the Lion badge on the front of a car??? |

Not just hit by the ugly stick, fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Aplogies if this link has already been posted elsewhere, but I thought it was appropriate for this thread;

The front looks like a beehive...
It will sell. If people want to spend their money on it, then that's their choice.

Front looks good. Consider that the Mustang was developed with similar reasons, and look where that is now. Don't know what I mean? In the 60's, Ford had all these "Falcon" platforms/chassis and not many sales. Lee Iacocca (sp?) comes in and says; right, let's make a 2 door coupe on this chassis and see how that goes - the rest is history.

The term “The Stranger” was coined for the process of sitting on one’s hand until it goes numb, and then browsing pornography. The lack of sensation in the hand simulates the experience of receiving manual assistance from someone else. In the same way, the bogan will drink locally brewed, foreign label beer until its brain goes numb. It will then disregard its otherwise rampant Australian nationalism, enthusiastically ripping the Holden badges off its car, and replacing them with a set of Chevy logos. With its car suitably enhanced, the bogan endlessly prowls the roads of nightclub districts, attempting to trick similarly uninformed bogan females into believing that he is an exotic lothario; a rare and irresistible sexual force from across the seas. All too often, the evening ends with the bogan covertly performing The Stranger on itself in a nearby carpark.

id say this is a show version or photoshopped to make it look better than it is without the badging.
I imagine sitting next to a FG XR8 it looks like a sow with uglyitis disease.
