Default Driver Tribes - Which One Are You?

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/s...006301,00.html

I wonder is they will start using specific questionnaires for quoting insurance?

Type A (disobedient and impatient): Aggressive towards other drivers, jumps ahead in traffic, doesn't always drive within the law.

Egotist (intolerant): Doesn't think it's OK to speed to get ahead of traffic, enjoys driving, thinks other drivers are impolite.

Car Loving Revhead (car-proud and tolerant): Always loves driving and often drives about 10km/h over the speed limit and says the car is the most prized possession.

Junior Revhead (aggressive and rude): Drives with very loud music blaring, speeds to beat red lights, always loves driving.

Citizen (obedient and cautious): Very familiar with Australian traffic laws, follows the road rules, claims to be a courteous driver.

Sunday Peace (positive and relaxed): Very confident driver, says they stay calm when other drivers make mistakes, looks at the scenery while driving.

Nervous (anxious and fearful): Plans a route to avoid traffic, fears a crash, finds driving stressful.

Freshman (passive and anxious): Feels nervous when driving,a few think you need to take risks when driving.

New Arrival (positive but frustrated): Says they're familiar with Australian traffic laws, says they're not familiar with roads in their city or town.

Practical (tolerant and obedient): Doesn't believe nothing is likely to happen to them when driving, says they could improve their driving skills; a few say driving situations make them angry enough to yell.

No-Go (staid and considerate): Gets annoyed at lawbreakers, thinks driving is enjoyable, always plans a route to avoid traffic.

I'm most closest to the Car Loving Revhead (car-proud and tolerant) but i'm also courteous. I'm not the type of person that will zoom up the empty merging lane in peak our traffic just to get 5 cars ahead and slow everyone else down (drives me nuts)

I'm a car loving revhead, I'm courteous to most other drivers (except the ones that are blatantly pushy), I will move into the left lane at traffic lights to get ahead of the traffic so I have less idiots to deal with, I will occasionally yell inside the car at a moron driver.

I doubt that a 'citizen' exists anywhere in the world.

I think that everybody here is a car lover of sorts, why else join a forum to talk about cars?

and why does everything have to be categorized all the time everything is a percentage or a margin or part of a handful of groups, I think there are lots of statisticians with too much time on their hands. We all use cars as a means of getting from point to point, until a better mode of transportation is invented we will continue to do so regardless of location, societal status or ethnicity to name a few.

Im none of them. Im impatient, and think noone else out there can drive properly. I love my car, but I NEVER jump ahead in traffic, and I know the rules well, and always follow them, except maybe sneaking above the speed limit from time to time. I can merge (kind of rare in QLD) and always use my indicator. I understand how trucks work, and never cut them off, or jump in front of them, and never get angry at them when they are going slow up a hill.

You left out two types:

AUSTRALIAN: Better than all other drivers, believes that everyone should drive like them, believes that they must tell everyone else how to drive because they are the best drivers.

AUSTRALIAN ROAD SAFETY "EXPERTS": The same as AUSTRALIAN except they don't actually drive much at all and their self proclaimed expertise is based on theory and statistical evidence presented them by groups whose funding is dependent on providing evidence that supports the agenda of those providing the funding i.e. AUSTRALIAN ROAD SAFETY "EXPERTS"

That one fits the bill, but i am considerate to mainly semi drivers, as my old man is one.

You are kidding aren't you?

This is an agenda driven spin designed to vilify and marginalize drivers. Every group is negative other than the group that the article wants to support.

How long would this article or thread last if we just replace a few words like:

What RACE are you:

White: blah blah blah
Black: blah blah etc etc

Or:

What religion are you:

Or any other subject that cannot be discussed in this politically correct lunatic asylum called Australia.

Think this is a silly idea, as Flappist said, everyone of those catorgories is negative except the one the article supports

Just another attempt to categorise and generalise motorists. Because remember individualism is dangerous...

I think flappist has nailed it pretty hard here. Categorizing motorists into pre-determined groups is a crock, so I won't even bother with my category choice. It is none of the above, I am a car loving courteous driver who, on the odd occasion has a brush with the law, gets road ragey, drives like a granny and occasionally cranks the beats-because I love my music and want to hear it! Bit of a mix really.

Heh, when i went for my P's not a word was said the entire test, maybe because it consisted of going around the block of the cop shop and pulling back in. :
