Hi everyone,
There's been a little discussion about doing an AU cruise with aufalcon.com members. My idea was for a group to meet up in the western suburbs one weekend and head into or just outside of the city to pickup another group, then pickup another group in the eastern suburbs and all head out to the Peninsula (a park or beach / boat car park) for group photos and lunch (maybe a BBQ or fast food runs?). Is anyone interested or have any alternate ideas? I've never been on a cruise before so can anyone say if it is a real hassle with red lights and general traffic to maintain convoys? Thanks, Andrew.

i was thinkin of organising one but, i was gonna make it a 'drivers' route cruise. So it was gonna be, meet up somewhere central, then heidelberg-kinglake rd, then to toolangi, onto heasvile, then keep heading south along theose roads ect, then head home. With a barby/lunch stop somewhere in between it all.
But while it was a drivers route, the provision would be made for cruisers to join up, we'd just have a couple more stops to meet back up. However i ran the route saturday that i was going to use but it turns out there are a couple of km's of dirt road between heasville and warburton. So i'll have to have a rethink about it all. cheers

It's been almost a year since our AU BBQ (April 23) so I'd possibly consider thinking about mulling over the thought of contemplating another get together.........hopefully some of the (local) members from that "BBQ/Show n shine" will join in, it'd be nice to catch up again.

I'd definately be interested in a cruise providing I can get the day off work if its a weekend. Traffic light and general traffic aren't too bad as long as there is some kind of map with directions, or someone who knows where they are going is with every group of people. A Melways and a CB radio is also handy.

Ive Organised a few Cruises on here , and I Reackon its a TOP idea Dauphin ..
As for the Red Lights , Everyone usually carries UHF Radios so if there are splitups people can slow down or wait .. Either way , wherever AUFalcon Victoria Cruise to , The Cranbourne Contingent of Whoosha , RedXR8Bloke , RedXR8Chick , Kev , Jess and Myself will usually arrive ! Keep Us posted on your ideas dude .. Well i'll be happy to organise it all. But it won't be untill the weekend till the route is confirmed. Which will be similar to this:
Meat at studly park - yarra bend Cruise up to kinglake via heidleberg kinglake rd Kinglake to heasville (passing tolangi) Lunch at heasville, could be barby or store, any thoughts?? Heasville to a place close for some photo's (a great view on a quite rd) Then Halfway to warburton then turn back towards the city back across mount dandenong, up some of the quiter rds And back to studly park to finish it all off As for a date, thinkin of weekend before the nats, so that'll be 19th/20th may? Any input or that all good Cheers

Sounds like a decent plan. I've done a bit of searching.
The Maroondah Reservoir is at Healesville and apparently has BBQs, great views and elevated dam walls and stuff.

well my route had been finalised. New thread will begin soon.
Cruise is not as long as i first envisioned, way to long. So the route is, Studly park, to kinglake to heasville (lunch stop, big stop), then to sugarloaf resivor to finish it off. Studly park to heasville aprox 2 hours cheers
