Default WA vs NSW licencing systems

I had my red P's in NSW, but I just transfered to WA licence and now I'm automatically on my blacks coz I have been driving for two years. What would happen if I moved back to NSW would I go back to red P's?

By blacks i assume you mean full license.

As far as I'm aware you go to full license...

No, you've done your 2 years as required then you're off your P's.
In WA it's red for 6 months, then green for the next 18 months, so if you came over from Qld with 12 months driving under your belt you automatically go to green for 12 months, once your 2 years is up ( regardless of which states you did it in) you have a full license, so I'm presuming Qld does the same.

Harmonisation of licensing categories (L, P1 & P2) = yes*
Harmonisation of L, P1/P2 timeframe to hold = yes
Harmonisation of licensing category speed-limits = ??? Get my way and I'd remove NSW's L, P1 and P2 category speed-limit, falling back to the defaults or posted limits used by the rest of us.

* Cost saving and administration may see us drop P1/P2 to the old red P, we'll see.

Fine amounts - *must* remain State/Territory matters....
Demerits might become a national 'thing'.

this is all well and good. But my question remains unanswered. I have already got my blacks (full licence). If I move back to NSW do I revert back to P's that I had, or transfer to their blacks?

Surely thats not a serious question, how on earth can you get a full licence from trying to transfer a Learners??? If that was the case I think more people would be taking a quick trip to WA just to get a full licence....

They have different colour backgrounds on open licenses in NSW,
depending on experience and lack of fines your licence gets cheaper
and the background colour changes..

Or you must be too young. ;)

IIRC, wasn't blacks referring to the colour of the print on the old paper licences we had when you reached your full licence? Green, learners. Red, P's. Black, full.

I reckon thats pretty close to it,when I got my license we only had learners for 3mths and then full when you passed the test.
