Mate we dont know who you are or much about your petetion or whos behind it, if you look in the SA section of the forum you will see plenty of posts relating to this.

Im with Pete & Jac im more than happy to sign a petition to fully support a 1/4 mile drag racing vacility within a couple hours pf the City of Churches. But I would like alot more info/credentals etc b4 I put pen to paper in support.

Sure I can understand that.

This has come about from alot of talk and ideas being talked over and this is the one that needs the least input from everyone.eg no writing of letters or turning up for a rally.

Not that we dont want to put in time to get a track, but no one wants to waste lots of there time if no one is listening.

By all means you dont have to sign it, but everyones name helps.

I'm sure thats true, but its not just people from SA that are going to be using a track so theres no reason why everyone cant sign it as it would do alot for the sport of drag racing in AUS have a track in SA.

Well I'm not really a ford supporter. Thats why I do post on hear.However I think we need to joint forces to get this to work.

I dont think just because I dont support ford it should be any reason not to get onboard.

Hell maybe the biggest ford man ever bob glidden who was a crew chef on a mopar and drove a chevy at one point so I dont think you should ever not put differences aside.

AIR is doomed due to not enough run off for top fuel, so a new venue is needed.
It's all very good petitioning for one, but you need to have a place in mind for it to be of any worth.

I bet half if not more tracks in the country cant have Top Fuelers races there does that mean they cant have a successfull track? I think not. I signed the petition mainly so as there is a facility in Adelaide for legal properly run off street drag racing. Adelaide has been crying out for something like this for too long. Im sure there are many that would dearly love to try there mods & do some testing again at AIR as dyno days & mods are all good fun. But its down the quater thats of real importance.

I signed the petition too, but when u have a strip that has to shut down at 11pm because of a caravan park nearby... has to shut down for 2hrs while the sun sets.... and has one of the most un-safest set-ups with a concrete wall on the very edge of the track, plus not enough run off for sub 6 second cars... then I say AIR is doomed and a new venue is needed.
Hobby racers arn't plentiful enough to pay the bills, so comp meets are needed to keep it alive, and anyone with serious $$$ invested in a comp vehicle won't risk it on an un-safe track.
Insurance companies won't touch it either for that same reason.

I thought there was a chance that Bob would loose the case and AIR maybe start up again but after reading this thread in Drag Racing section I doubt it. But I fully support the petition hence I singned off on it.

I heard Sept a while ago. I have heard nothing until this above post. Im hope it happens but am not getting my hopes up.
