Default How much for auto -> manual?

I have an au xr8 III, its doing 240rwhp with an auto. would it do more with a manual? also for future mods (cams, supercharger) would a manual be the way to go?

how much is it for the conversion?

thanks in advance.

not sure if u'll get more hp out of a manual, but a mob in nsw do conversions for the au. call this number, 4646 1288, Macarthur parts plus, they are falcon-fairlane ED to BA used parts specialist. not sure how much for an 8 but for the 6 its about $1500

Yes you will get more RWHP with a manual T5 vs the 4 spd auto, hard to say exactly how much.

Just as a point of comparisson, i have just had a manual conversion completed on my I6 and the dyno reading has increased by 10rwkw. You would probably get a bit more being a V8 though.

Manuals an option, you could just beef up the auto a bit and ad a high stall. A manual will give higher numbers on the dyno, but you have to decide whhat you want out of your car.
