Does parking in the rain count as a wash?

then it became once a month

now i could probably count on one hand the amount of times ive washed it this year....

before every ford meet lol

Bathurst Cruise, Wagga All Ford Day, one other time.

thats 3 times since March :

In about an hour...

edit: although I must admit to giving it a really good going over before our trip down to Kempsey a couple of weekends ago.
Perhaps I should have given it a really good going over *after* the trip...

It's very rare that mine would go a week without a wash.

I used to wash the XR atleast once a week for the first two years we owned it but the last couple of years it has got so many dings and scratches from carparks that I gave up washing it about 6 months ago it got to the point where every time i washed it I would find a new scratch or ding or something,
now the missus washes it i'd say prolly once every 6 weeks .......

We want to buy a good 2nd hand 2006 BF fairmont 220kw V8, the only thing stopping us is I know within a year it will be full of knocks and bruises so its just not worth it.

Once a fortnight. Car gets filthy even though it lives in a garage, 2 power stations and unguttered roads make a dusty car. Do the interior about every three weeks. Wax about every 10 weeks.

That being said i wash the wheels about every 3 days- Ferodo Formula's + DBA Slotted 4000's = Brake Dust galore.

Unfortunately for me my AU looks shisenhousen unless it is clean, but atleast mine has escaped the shopping centre dings and stratches, instead it has chips on the front bar from highway work.

yeah mines once a monthish.. usually before a run or if its looking FERAL and the forcast isnt rain..
all due to water restrictions..
altho i can usually get away with $5 at the local carlovers... as what i do is just take my meguiars lambswool wash mitt and high pressure soap for $1 then put it on foam brush for $1-$2 and just let it drip onto the car and try and put enough blobs all over the car ... then just use the mitt to actually wash it.. then high pressure rinse for $2-$3 and chamois and im sweet to go

I wash mine once every week to two weeks. I can justify the water usage as I washed my last car about five time in the three years I owned it.

I wash mine once a week. Either a friday arvo or saturday morning. Then it gets used maybe once on the weekend and then lives in the garage all week. Just sits there and collects dust.

About once every month for the SR, once every 5-8 weeks for the Futura.

I try to get the bird poo off pretty quickly though.

I actually wash mine in the shed using the the waterless method as describe in a thread on here a little while back, it's much easier and comes up a treat.

Once a fortnight at worst. Wait until Austin (b2tf) spots this thread. He'll take the record for most washed AU.

water restrictions & being parked under a bunch of large trees mean i can't be bothered. i've had it almost 12 months, and it's been washed twice

Try for at least once each week, depends on how much it's been driven. Due to level 6 water restrictions here, if it looks like a good downpour I'll roll it out and give it a quick wash, saves driving all the way out to carlovers.

I washed mine in the begining of october, might wash it again in the next month or two. I'm really bad with the interior, It's still full of sand from when I lived out of Town, back in May I think left.

Where I work this was 3 weeks of build up. So I have to do it every week, actually if the wind is going the wrong way it only takes a day to really need a wash. Oh and I know its a bad idea to draw with the dirt, but hey racing stripes are cool.

Like to give mine a wash once a week but sometimes that drags to a fortnightly wash.
It makes it easier if you wash your car regularlly.
