Anyone got any feedback on this, it increases firmness in shift on auto BTR'S by turning the screw on it. i have a new S5 here that i have adjusted ive heard its ok do to and its not, the guy at the Auto shop recommended i didnt put it in but he said he will do it if i want him to.
So im not sure a shiftkit is $500 not going for that, maybe a adjustable electric shift kit with the new solenoid in would be the go. |

The s5 solenoid is the way to firm up shifts.Forget the 500 dollar jobbies.the gearbox should last longer provided you dont abuse it.

Just dont over adjust the valve ,it takes abit of setting up to get the change right.i over adjust the one i had and with alittle water on the road and changing into second the back end just steps right out and tries to pass you
 .

well i got it done, its a must do mod i reckon, the guy said it aint the best for the bands in the auto, driving along and you can feel a firmer shove in the bum when it changes its nice not to hardor soft, underload the car changes quiker and feels quiker all round the car does im happy with it. theres no pause between gears, if you lift ur foot of the accelrator its straight into gear with a shove like a shift kit, the screw was turned just before 3/4 of a turn , i should of left it at 3/4 of a turn as that would of been perfect for my liking.

or if your not confident making one, or just cant be bothered, buy the $120 adjustable shift kit. On/off adjust the firmness as much as you want.

well worth the money IMO. Simple enough to install. As for the build your own, there is a diagram and instructions somewhere on these forums. Someone should be able to find it.

ah BA, i have no idea what is needed for them
I have heard with the BA you can only do an ON/OFF shiftkit, not an adjustable which sucks because alot of people just want a firmer shift, not wheel chirping shifts |

You can adjust the ba shifts with a programmer box I've heard my mate whose an auto electrician did it himself with a tuner thingo

Adjusting the S5 is the same as putting in a elec shift kit, just one is done electrically the other mechanically.
Someone is building BTR's good for 600hp, that is funny considering in stock form they are good for considerably more then that as long as shift pressure is increased be it electrically or mechanically to match it.
