The ute's don't get IRS. If you want to install a VCT motor, then you need the ECU etc to support it.

The VCT is a bit over ratted. If you don't plan on doing anything to the engine they are a good choice, but otherwise they just aren't an option.

nothing the matter with vct at all, but has`nt been much development in the cam area regarding aftermarket stuff and tuning compared to the hp, but would be ok with a turbo or blower i reckon.

You mean it makes 157 flywheel kw, or 157 rwHP (in fact, if it's the HP motor, it will be 164fwkw). Standard AU I6 range of rwkw is 100 to 120, depending on conditions, stock Intech to VCT.

Nope it's 157 REAR WHEEL KILAWATTS, like I said it's got a few goodies.

Quite a few goodies by the sounds of it. Didn't stick it on good old Jim Mock's dyno did you?

No not mockawatts, backed up on two different dynos with the readings 3kw appart. It's got 3 inch intake, cam, vernier gear, extractors, double valve springs, and a 2.5inch mandrel exhaust. I did a fair bit of research and picked my parts carefuly, the only stuff up I had was the first cam I got was from crow. It was rubbish, I told them what I wanted but at the end of the day it only gave a 3kw gain over my base of 136kw at which time I only had the exhaust and nothing else. Then I rang waggots, got their 760 cam and haven't looked back. On a side note this cam is that big the double valve springs only just handle it, I need some triples.
