Default History of this XR8 Tickford Ute

I am wondering if anybody on this forum knows the history of this ute. I bought the car in 2007, it was advertised in a car yard in moorabbin vic. just as an xr8 Ute, there were no books with it, I don't know the original registration but there is a video of it on you tube with the registration "BRUTEUTE" it is a 5 speed manual, when I bought it there was a huge spoiler on the lid, which I have since removed, It has an unusual front bumper, I have been told by a guy, who apparantely worked for tickford at one stage, that it is a fibreglass mock up that was the model for Glenn Seton's v8 supercar, but I can't verify that story, the build date is 10,01, engine is signed by Paul Geroulis, Tickford enhancements are, Momo Gearknob, Momo Steering Wheel, Interior is full leather and it's quick as,
I sold a VX 5.7 litre LS1 Commodore 6 speed Manual, with 238rwkw to buy this car, and I reckon the ute is quicker in a straight line, hope somebody knows a bit more about this car

Just looks like a very well kept modified XR8 ute mate.

The front bar looks the same as a few V8Supercar mockups getting around here.

Nice ute though. Love the wheels.....

Thanks mate, it's a very nice car to drive as well, I have had several performance v8's that I have modified myself, or I knew what had been done to them, but I can't work out what's been done to this one, just thought somebody may have known the car, and hopefully, any modifications, I saw the wheels in a tyre place down here while I was getting new tyres, and had to have them

oops, got the registration no. wrong, the heading on youtube was "BRUTEUTE" but the registration no. was "DVLXR-8", still hope somebody knows something about this car,
I found it on youtube by doing a search for bruteute, the car was for sale at the time the video was taken, but there are no details of the person selling it,

Nice looking ute mate. Im sure someone will confirm on here but i think all 2001 XR8 utes received the 200kw version of the Windsor as standard, the 220kw was only available in sedans. Taking that into account, for it to feel quicker than a 238rwkw SS is a mighty effort.

Maybe its a 347 stroker and you just dont know it

Thanks xrcist, yeh, you are correct, the au11 utes did have the 200kw engine, the for sale video on you tube claims it has 220+kw, but I can't confirm this, would love the previous owner to see this thread and tell me it's got a 347 stroker in it, bit unlikely though I think

Thanks xr8grl, it's a great car to drive too, I finally found the owner, it was owned by a girl from the south eastern suburbs in vic. the front bar and body kit was from sydney specialised vehicles, also I gave the vin no. to ford and they are sending me out the information that they have, they told me the car has a 5/01 build date and went to tickford 8/01, but there is no record of it going back to ford or to a dealer, so I need to investigate why, but thanks to everybody I am gradually gathering information on this vehicle
