Ohh Oww, I'm going on a cruise today and am meeting a few of the Aussie Coupes guy's at the Bundoora hotel...

Hope we don't get hassled due to the age of our cars!

too funny - losers!

New Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology was also used to target unlicensed and disqualified drivers, as well as those driving unregistered vehicles.

This new technology is awesome - was one of them on my way to work on Friday - Love It!

Did a search on EPA fines and found this checklist on wrx - 4500 rpm test - what happened to 3500 or 3000 rpm

There's been quite a few cops all week along Plenty Rd, particularly between Bundoora and Sth Morang, and well done to them as the quality of road users around this area is disgraceful. Maybe it's the straight section, abundant lights, merging lanes, I dunno, but there's all types of idiots on that stretch. It was only a matter of time before someone got killed there, and they won't be the last.

The number plate recognition technology is going to generate huge revenue.
Its surprising how many cars are on the road without registration.
Could have a field day down my neck of the woods.

The blitz was mentioned on radio last week. The whole length of Plenty Rd frm Northcote to Whittlesea, on the anniversary of the 5 kids killed in the XR6 at Mill Park. Was also cops in attendance at a mini show and shine in the Sth Morang pub car park.
Have also noticed that every Sunday there is about 10-30 cars, all muscle cars, parked outside a cafe in Sth Morang.

So ,is this another blatant revenue grab, or perhaps an increase in visible police presence ??? Hmmmm

Nothing new about this recognition software as it's been in use for years BUT the govco making the connection took a while , personally I don't have a problem with grabbing unregistered cars , if one of them hit you just imagine , same with outstandings
it's a risk you take being in debt and failing the obligation or actively avoiding payment . In Brisbane recently Alice street was put under control on Saturday night as the main city exit south and during the evenings course several dozen drink drivers were arrested and booked along with a huge number of outstandings and badly modified cars , I don't want to share the road with some of the drunks I have seen at 4 am on the motor ways and rat running the back roads , the question will this vigilence continue ?
