Ford no longer make/supply towbars for my dedicated LPG sedan.
I have to either shell out big $$ (over $500) to get one fabricated & fitted, or I can buy one from supercheap with my 25% discount (total ~$230) and try and fit it myself. But the question is: how do I fit the towbar? Are there special bolts required? This car had one previously but the company that owned it removed the bar (they're expensive and hard to find).

Why the hell would the tow bar be any different bacause it Ded Gas?

They are different because the dedi gas rear end is completely different. There is no spare wheel well. The normal towbars have not and never will fit.

That's an option. But I've only seen a handful of them here in Perth ever.
I think it's a pretty safe bet that it would be almost the same method to fit as a standard 1600kg towbar. Are those difficult to fit?

Fitted the bar this week. Not too difficult, apart from the center stud. Basically it uses the four normal studs (two on each side) and then shares one with the gas tank bracket in the middle.
I fitted it without taking the rear bumper off. No problem, even with a 2.5in exhaust fitted. I fitted it without raising the car. If I had raised it there might have been a little more room to work but further to lift it (heavy). If photos are requested by anyone else doing this, I'd be happy to crawl under and take a couple.
