I give you points for trying but it has been along time between drinks to see any of the major networks announce a retraction or apology on a story...........

The precedent of stripping weight and using full slicks was set years ago now.

So if you want to beat em, ya gotta join em, and being manual makes the time even more credible.

I respect your efforts mate but I think it will be a lost cause,
these 'news' stories are just sensationalized fluff peices designed to make people feel a resentment towards *whoever the story is about*. It doesn't matter about their side or the truth, just gripping TV.

I think you might have more luck with Media Watch.

abc.net.au/mediawatch.

Happy Birthday Jason.

No probs, and

Agree with Paxton on the Media Watch idea. Although I think it would have far less audience than the sensationalised news.

That isn't the point. Media Watch will bring the issue to the attention of the Powers that be at Nine much more effectively than one complaint from the general public. Don't forget that Media Watch is the program that brought down John Laws and Allan Jones...

True, I didn't think of that. Getting too late for my brain to be functioning correctly!

Good luck with that. And by that I mean pointing out the "truth" to them. It would take you far too long to explain what truth actually meant.

You would also need to sensationalize your story a bit to make it more interesting, you know, maybe say instead of you receiving free parking at the hospital change it to, Charlie Sheen received free hospital parking after O.D'ing in front of the Geelong hospital. Feel free to change that to Shane Warne if you want more of an Aussie spin to it... Then they'll probably hire you as a script writer, I mean journalist...

In case you haven't already contacted Nine, there's an email address.

news.feedback@ninemsn.com.au

Yes sensationalist journalism does annoy me a lot. Especially the segments on A Current Affair, but that's another story.

I doub they would be interested in any real news, they are more into fabricating and sensationalising stories.

yup i agree that they wouldn't go with the real side of what happens

Tony Abbot is an ex polly/geelong council member and has allways tried to put down geelong hospital

I have had nothing but great dealings with them and find it bloody hard to see people putting them down

I do agree that the parking around the hospital is bad but I also know that if your child or family member is in hospital you receive a parking permit for the hospital staff area

just annoys me big time

Jason

p.s

Thanks for the birthday wishes
