hey all i know every1 says its nothing major....but the tapping is not the lifters....but it is still annoying...i can hear it inside the cabin even with the stereo off...doesnt get quieter or louder just tapping....carbon canistor and lifters where checked and fine....anything i can do to fix this...injectors have just been cleaned....could it be rail/pressure reg etc???

What I cant understand is that there are people supposedly competent and confident enough to say unequivocally that your lifters are not making the noise but they cant give you a best guess as to what it may be or where exactly the area is that it is coming from. Doesn't make sense to me get another 2 or 3 opinions and get a Stethoscope put on it.
