Guy's I would like to know if any of you have had to replace one of your spot lights as one of mine is blown due to a cracked lens, rang ford and they wanted $160.00 to replace. I thought this was expensive or is it?. Any ideas were I might get a cheaper light would be appreciated.

A EF/EL XR head light is worth $100 from hella so i guess a GT /GTP would be slightly more.

Even wreckers charge $90 of a second hand head light

If it's the same fog light as in the Xr's Auto barn should have it as they stock Hella and are cheaper than Ford

If these are the same as on the XR's, then there is a set currently for sale on ebay - look under Car Parts/Ford/BA

Sounds right to me...my bro's replaces 2 in the last 6 months and another mate of myne has done 1. After you get it replaced cover the lense with some of that lense protector film by Aunger or similar. I did myne and you wouldn't know it was there. Cost me about $20 to do both and I still had enough left to do another car so perhaps go halves with another forum member.

If they're a Hella item (most probably is), then Hella would more than likely have a protective clear lense for them. It's not bullet proof, but stops the little stones that cause the cracks. I fitted the lens protectors on my fog lights (Hella Comet 450's) that are OE on a T1/T2 TS50. So far.. not a scratch.

They are actually the same light as the XR... I blew one last week but luckily it was only the bulb...

You can get them direct off a Hella parts supplier as you only need the lense part and not the complete rear, just make sure you get the Foglight one and not the Driving light..

BBF told me you have to buy the whole light as they are a sealed unit, just got a reply from Ferntree Gully Auto Salvage and they quoted me $75.00 for the spotlight.

They are not a sealed unit, that be BS!
I fitted that thick sticky headlight protector film and does the job nice. You have to look really close to see it's there. Just take the light out to make sure you can trim the edges perfectly.

They arent a sealed unit, yet again BBF are up to it again....

I changed a bulb in one of mine exactly 24 hours ago and i can assure you they are not sealed, the glass just pops off the backing AS STATED in the owners manual.

As for protection any of you out there with the XR setup can fit the geniune Ford Territory headlight covers, unfortunately for the FPV owners because of the brushed silver surround that is part of the front bar you cannot fit these covers.. Price approx $35 from any Ford Spares...

Check up with your local Hella supplier , you can buy them for 1/2 the price that Ford wants .
