Default TE50/TS50 body kit and fog lamp brackets

Hi guys,

I own a Forte Series II Au Falcon. Have just recently installed an aftermarket TE/TS 50 body kit from a supplier on ebay called Spoilertek.

Anyhow, am trying to fit the fog lamps but need some information if anyone has any on a bracket design to fit them to the Forte Chassis.

I was given a bracket detail for an AWC fog lamp but this is not suitable on another thread on here.
I am using 115mm dia Narva fog lamps.

Any help would be appreciated. The car looks good but the lights will finish it off.

I managed to get the full range of Tickford stickers for it and will have some photos once i get the lights mounted.

I was looking at these kits, how good are they? What was the finish like? Did it fit well?

Pics would be great!

Sorry, can't help with the brackets.

Surely the same kit would be cheaper through AWC - they are the manufacturer after all, anyone else is just a retailer, so you are paying a marked up price.

Surely the AWC brackets could be modified to suit (maybe made a little longer here, a bit shorter there, etc). Every falcon is the same under the skin so mounting to a forte, or Fairmont or TS doesn't differ.

not sure what AWC charge but i only paid $1395 inc gst for the full body kit, front, rear, wing and side skirts, mesh and lights.

Had a few problems with the fitting....but finally got it on and i think it looks good.

Has already fooled a few people, even a genuine TS50 owner.

The bracket detail i was given on another post in this forum is way to small for my car for some reason.

Thought i would ask if anyone else has had the same problem

not always the case, depends on how the reseller works. If they are buying in bulk they would be getting them alot cheaper then you or I, and may be selling them cheaper whilst still making a large profit

I was told by these guy's (Spiolertek) that they manufacture the kits themselves.
The also told me that they are the supplier to RACV and GIO/SGIO for aftermarket bodykits so their quality is exceptional.

Their pricing is the cheapest I could find (I was quoted $1195 for a full TS50 bodylit without rear spoiler).

That's a good price - AWC is $1690 odd, but I wonder if they do a discount for the whole kit?

I installed a kit from the same guy off ebay i was not very happy with the quality of the kit. There was that many pin holes i couldnt beleive it cost me $2600 by the end after it was painted and fitted (that includes the kit) and i fitted it i rang up awc a month later once i found out about them and they would have fitted and painted for $2400 0R $3000 with and original kit so i was a little angry. Ive talked to many painters and they all say you are better to pay more for the body kit or it could bite you on the *** with the paint cost.

So yeh mine deveoped little cracks all over after a few months im about to buy a new front bar because its just about unrepairable. I highly doubt it could fool a te50 owner.

Thanks Jake

Keep the kit but throw away the stickers. People won't respect the car if you try to dress it up as a Tickford.

bearing in mind, there were a few different people selling the kits on ebay.

I didnt have any problems with pin holes. it is a full fibreglass kit, has been on the car now for 6 months...still no hassles...apart from stone chips...which i will try and eradicate with a car bra.

all in all, the car came up nice and yes...a guy i know who does have a TS50 thought it was a genuine car......

I have all the TE50 stickers and badges on the car...all genuine...

I had an AU2 Forte, with Hawke rear wing, AU3 XR8 side skirts and brumby front bar with custom mesh grille, and at least one owner of the then current T3s thought mine was a T3 as well. So just because someone drives one, doesn't mean they have any idea about what's real and what's not.

agreed, there's no difference in putting a holden badge on a falcon, your pretending its something that its not
