hi guys , i'm going to be doin an egine swap soon.i am going to be putting an au series 1 xr6 auto engine int our au 2 5 spd.
i had a look at the engine today and noticed that the looms and wireing are a bit different.the black looking loom that sits above the bbm near the fire wall is the same.but there is another wireing loom that comes out below this with a couple of plugs attached .one roud one and a smaller squre one.considering this engine is out of an auto ,do these have something to do with the auto? i also noticed the tps is different to whats on mine. i'm guessing it will probably be easier if i swap the wireing loom, sensors and throttle body of my series 2 . i know the injector's will be fine.but are the crank angle sensor and cam sensors the same in au 1 and au 2? thanks for your help jake

au 1 and au 2 also have different coil pack plugs, that's why they list 2 different coil packs for them, au 2 is more of a square plug, whereas au 1 is more oval shaped

Just a tip incase you hadn"t thought of it. don"t forget to change the spigot bush (fly wheel bearing) located in the end of the crank to take a manaul box input shaft ... :
