Water leak, wet headlining.

Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has had similar problems, my headlining is wet just where the A pillar trim and head lining meet, it’s only on the passenger side. I don’t think it’s the windscreen leaking as it’s too far back, it’s almost underneath the roof rack trim, does that have grommets that secure it which could have perished?

Thanks for any suggestions

Yes the rack probably has a small o-ring type seal but I'd still check the windscreen in that corner to be sure.

Hi cloudy
Yeah it was the windscreen leaking.

Re: Water leak, wet headlining.

my wife had the same problem with her 2012 hatchback, the windscreen was fogging up all the time, could not find how moisture was getting in, that is until I took it to a panelbeater (who was an old bloke) who told me what the problem was. Turns out under those roof rails is where they join the body panels together and all the sealer they used over time had cracked and fell out, so he told me to buy some body sealer, scrape out out all the old stuff, reseal both sides and never had a problem again, hope this helps out to others who get water in their car and cant find out where it comes in :)
